Leadership

Upper School – 7th-12th grades

Once our students reach Upper School, they really begin to soar as independent thinkers. They are taught to think critically and make God-centered conclusions based on the academic knowledge they have gained. Our students are focused on learning, integrating, and communicating truth as they are given the opportunity to master a difficult but rewarding college preparatory curriculum. Every student in high school is required to take leadership training courses to prepare them for success in the future. With 100% graduation rate and more than $7.9 million in scholarships awarded to last year’s graduates alone, our students leave us prepared and confident to make a difference in colleges across the country.

Camp Leadership Alaska

The Leadership Institute will include an opportunity for students to attend a summer leadership
camp in Alaska.
Camp Leadership Alaska will be held each summer in Kodiak Island, Alaska.
“This is a great way for students in the Leadership Institute to have hands-on leadership
experience and really put the skills they have learned in class to use,” Floyd said.
The inaugural Camp Leadership Alaska was held in the summer of 2019.
Students along with Floyd and other chaperones conducted a four-day leadership camp for the youth of the city of
Kodiak focusing on the key principles of leadership needed for young people to be successful in
the multiple environments in which they live every day.
