Scholarships

Harrison Vaughan Scholarship Fund

Harrison Vaughan was a proud student, athlete, teacher, and coach at Calvary Day School. Coach Vaughan lived his life with service to others as a key to his purpose, with pure joy as his guide. To celebrate his legacy and impact on Calvary, his family established the Harrison Vaughan Memorial Scholarship in 2024-2025 to share his passion for all things Calvary. Annually, a $5,000 scholarship will be awarded to a rising senior at Calvary Day School.

Nathan Clark Scholarship Fund

The Nathan Clark Scholarship was created to honor Nathan and provide children in the community an opportunity to obtain an excellent education in a strong Christian environment that they could not otherwise financially afford. This tuition assistance is needs based and available for new or existing Calvary Day School students in rising 6th through 12th grade who demonstrate good standing academically and in their personal achievements.

Alumni Scholarship Fund

The Alumni Scholarship was created to provide tuition assistance for students with financial need to obtain an excellent education in a strong Christian environment. The tuition is needs based and available for existing Calvary Day School students in rising 1st through 12th grade who have attended CDS for at least one full school year.

Wayne Nelson Scholarship

Bobbi Brown Scholarship

Bill Brown who served the school for over thirty years as a Day School Committee member and chair along
with his two children, Robin B. Davis and Curtis O. Brown, established this memorial scholarship in memory
of his loving wife and their mother, Bobbi Brown. As parents Bill and Bobbi Brown supported the school with
the attendance of their two children and later their grandchildren. The purpose of the Bobbi Brown Memorial
High School Scholarship will be to provide a $2,000 scholarship to two rising seniors at Calvary Day School.

The recipients must be rising high school seniors who demonstrate spiritual maturity, leadership qualities and
superior academic achievement.

Securities

Giving securities may be a very advantageous method of giving for many donors. A donor may receive favorable tax results by giving stocks that have appreciated. Calvary Day School can accept readily marketable securities such as those traded on the stock exchange. Typically, such stocks will be sold immediately by the school. In-Kind Donations

In-kind donations are tangible gifts of personal property, such as furnishings, equipment, as well as business / professional services that can be of important value to the school. A tax benefit may be realized by the donor. The value of the donation is determined by the donor and according to IRS regulations.
