Coaches
-
Robert Oswald
Michael never played high school basketball but walked on at a community college, where he earned a starting position his first year on a team that ranked as the second-highest scoring JUCO program in the country. He later received a scholarship to play for two years at Pace University, a small college in New York City.
Throughout his life, basketball has played a central and shaping role. Michael has coached his son through youth and high school basketball and has been involved in the game as both a player and a coach for many years. He credits the structure and discipline of basketball as a saving influence in his life.
In the Winston-Salem area, Michael has coached community basketball for players ranging from 3rd and 4th grade to the Mount Tabor Blue Chip varsity program. Several of his former players have gone on to compete at the Division I level. While he embraces the modern evolution of the game, Michael believes that strong fundamentals remain the true foundation of basketball.

Kyle Norman
Assistant CoachKyle attended Calvary School from second through eighth grade before continuing his education at West Forsyth High School. He later graduated from High Point University with a degree in Business. He currently works in sales for All Phase Heating and Cooling, where he values integrity, service, and building strong, lasting relationships.
He and his wife, Erin Norman, attend Calvary Church with their children—a church where they were both raised and actively involved in the youth group.
He has a strong passion for coaching youth sports and enjoys teaching young athletes how lessons learned on the field—such as discipline, teamwork, perseverance, and leadership—carry over into everyday life and their walk with Christ.
