Coaches' Bio
Varsity Head Coach - Harrison Vaughan
Harrison grew up in Clemmons, NC and played baseball starting at the age of 5. He was a 2018 graduate of Calvary Day School, where he was a varsity starter for 5 years, and selected to the All Conference team his Junior and Senior year. In Harrison's senior year of high school, he was offered a scholarship to continue his baseball career at Carolina University. While in college, he had the opportunity to play collegiate summer baseball in the Tidewater Summer League with the Tidewater Hawks. He was a catcher and an outfielder in college and graduated with his bachelor's degree in 2021. Currently, Harrison is employed at Calvary Day School and is working on his Master’s degree from Ole Miss.
Varsity Assistant Coach - Eric Vaughan
Erik is the proud father of Calvary graduates Harrison, Hunter, and Olivia-Beth Vaughan and the husband of 8th grade English Teacher Holly Vaughan. His coaching journey started at Calvary in 2011 as the Middle School Head Baseball Coach. After a brief retirement from coaching, Erik re-joined the varsity staff at Calvary in 2023 when his son, Harrison Vaughan, was named the Varsity Baseball Head Coach.

Varsity Assistant Coach- Scott Humphrey
Graduated from RJ Reynolds in 1985
Played Baseball, Basketball and Football in high school.
Awarded Baseball scholarship to Guilford College.
Played 4 years and awarded the Senior Athletic Award.
Broke ankle at beginning of senior season and moved to Assistant Coach position on Staff.
Married to Legh Parker Humphrey
2 sons, Kyle (30) and Joshua (25)
Retired from WS/FC school system after 31 years. Head Baseball Coach at Parkland High School.

Varsity Assistant Coach- Tracey Coppedge
Tracey (Coach T) is the second born of three brothers from Nashville, NC. He was a multi-sport athlete at his high school. Tracey was blessed to earn a scholarship to play football at Elon University where, as a four year starting Running Back, he earned his BS in Exercise Science along with a minor in Coaching. Fun Fact: after graduation, Tracey was invited to tryout with the Minnesota Vikings. His love for sports continues now through coaching and personal training. He currently works full time at Calvary Baptist Church and Calvary Day School with our facilities team. When he is not working, at the ball field, or in the gym, he is spending time with his wife (Samantha) and daughter (Winslow).
MS Assistant Coach - Tony Robinson
Tony grew up in Asheville, North Carolina, playing basketball, baseball, and golf. He was a scholar-athlete at Erwin High School, excelling in basketball and baseball. After high school, he continued playing both sports at the University of South Alabama and at Montreat College. He received an undergraduate degree in Human Services from Montreat and a Master's in Leadership from Liberty University. He currently serves at Calvary Day School as the Director of Advancement & Strategic Initiatives and is a member at Calvary Baptist Church. Tony is involved in Travel Baseball in the Triad Region and brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to our team.
