Preschool
CDS’ Preschool program offers a wide range of multi-sensory activities designed specifically for children 2 years old through 5 years old. Our Preschool students participate in group activities and learn science, math, art, reading readiness, and music through play and games that are designed for this age to thrive and succeed. They are also introduced to class specials including Music and Library.
The school day starts at 8:15 am. Students may be dropped off or walked to class starting at 8:00 am. The day ends at 12:00 pm. There is no extended care for Preschool students.
Preschool Curriculum
The Preschool school day is from 8:15am to 12:00pm and is offered for 2 days a week, 3 days a week, or 5 days a week.
ABC, Jesus Loves Me is the primary curriculum used in our 2's. Our 3's is a thematic approach with an emphasis on literacy and teacher read alouds. DIG (Develop.Inspire.Grow) is the primary curriculum used in the Pre-K 4's class. This curriculum uses fun stories and puppets to introduce basic literacy skills and prepares our children for Kindergarten. Each curriculum integrates math, reading readiness, science, art, movement, and music. By adapting the curriculums to be hand-ons, teachers create a fun and engaging environment. Most importantly, all of our curriculums are taught with a Biblical worldview and focus on God's truths.
