Jacob Creson - Dean of Students
  • Featured News

We are excited to announce that Jacob Creson has been named the new Dean of Students at Calvary Day School.

Mr. Creson is already a familiar face on campus, having served as a Strength & Conditioning Teacher, Physical Education Teacher, and Coach. With more than 14 years of experience in education, he has taught students at every grade level in both public and private schools. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Health and Exercise Science from Lenoir-Rhyne University and a Master of Arts in Sport Science and Pedagogy.

Reflecting on his new role, Mr. Creson shared, "I had the pleasure of serving the students and families at Calvary as a teacher and coach, and now having the opportunity to serve in an administrative role while working alongside our faculty and staff is very exciting to me."

Mr. Creson's approach to leadership is deeply rooted in his faith. One of the verses that has guided him throughout his life is Hebrews 12:11: "No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it." He says this verse continually reminds him that faithfully studying God's Word and living out our faith—even when life is challenging—produces lasting spiritual fruit.

Outside of school, Mr. Creson enjoys spending time with his wife, Christy, and their three children, who are all part of the Calvary Day School and Calvary Church family. Whether hiking together, attending concerts, talking about cars, or playing guitar, the Cresons cherish spending time together as a family.

Please join us in congratulating Mr. Creson as our new Dean of Students.
