  • Featured News

This summer, students who have completed Spanish 2 and above were invited to experience an eight-day trip to Spain.

The educational tour began in Barcelona and ended in Madrid, highlighting architecture by Gaudí that included La Sagrada Familia, works of art at El Prado art museum, the Real Madrid soccer stadium, an impressive flamenco dance show, in addition to guided tours at the Royal Palace, the Gothic Quarter, and Park Güell.

The students were immersed in the Spanish culture, where they enjoyed a variety of activities, which included bike riding and dance lessons, in addition to trying new cuisines like paella and tapas..

Matt Willis, Missions & Evangelism Pastor at Calvary, helped to coordinate a meeting with missionaries Gary and Julie Clifton, who have been serving in Madrid for sixteen years. The students also enjoyed reuniting with former exchange students who have attended CDS in the past.
