The Calvary Crazies was founded by Class of 2008 graduates Danny Gumprecht and Joseph Thomasson. Today, the Calvary Crazies continue to celebrate Cougar Spirit at CDS. This year's president is Logan Morris, who explained, "The position of Crazies' president is passed down from one president to the next." Logan's brother held the position when he was a senior in the Class of 2023. Logan shared that he loves everything about the games, and his favorite moment was during his freshman year when George Chokoy made his famous bicycle shot for a goal against Forsyth Country Day School. He enjoys being on the sidelines during games and chatting with the referees. "Most of the basketball refs engage back with you once you establish a spirited relationship during the game," Logan said. "You can have fun without being disrespectful," he added.

Alex Stewart is the current vice president of the Calvary Crazies. He mentioned that past leaders have inspired him, and this year he has worked hard to improve the group. Alex expressed his love for the school spirit at CDS and emphasized that attendance at athletic events is how we demonstrate it. He noted that the Calvary Crazies' student section is strong this year, and he is excited to see the underclassmen attending in large numbers. He believes that one day, one of them will lead the Calvary Crazies and help continue to build Cougar Spirit at CDS.
