Welcome to Cougar Country

Calvary Day School views athletics as a unique opportunity to teach self-discipline, teamwork, obedience, compassion and Christ-like character on the field of competition. In addition, Calvary Day School seeks to provide an athletic experience that contributes to Kingdom Education while partnering with parents to equip student athletes to connect heart and mind as they think, learn and live from a Biblical worldview. The athletic program seeks to develop these spiritual characteristics while also training the physical body in a competitive environment.

Calvary Day School offers middle and high school students the opportunity to compete in 13 different sports on 32 competitive teams. Our teams compete in the NCISAA (North Carolina Independent School Athletic Association), while high school students participate in the TAC (Triad Athletic Conference) and middle school (5th-8th grades) students participate in the TMAC (Triad Middle School Athletic Conference). Our teams have achieved several conference championships over the years.

While we are proud of our strong athletic record, our foremost desire is to glorify God and share Christ in the way we compete on the field.

“In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven”. Matthew 5:16

“Love the Lord your God with all of your heart, all of your soul, all of your mind, and all of your strength” Matthew 12:30

In Him,

Rich Landis
Athletic Director
